the day she truly left herself

air above her

slowly brushing across

honey-dew folds

which sheltered gray skies

with eyes like pools of blood

shimmering against the light of darkness

with a hand extended

in a pathetic attempt to grasp

why she had done

what she had done

but there were no answers

within that light

only a reflection of what she had become

and what she would never be, again

< frozen - melting >
